By virtue of this agreement, ASEMAC's members will be able to take part at INTERSICOP 2011 based on some highly advantageous conditions, as announced by the Association's heads at the ASEMAC General Assembly last 1st June. In fact, the prospect of participation at the next edition was very warmly received at the Assembly by the Association's more than 40 members, given that the fair has established itself over its various editions as a key marketing and promotional tool for the frozen dough industry. Specifically, companies such as OKIN, Delicias Coruña and Fapanys, among others, have all expressed their interest in attending the next edition.
Furthermore, ASEMAC has announced that its Second Conferences for Reflection (the first edition took place in October 2008 in the Valencian town of Puçol) will be staged next September at Feria de Madrid. In effect, the Association aims to stage this meeting at the same fairground venue that will provide the setting for INTERSICOP 2011 a few months later, precisely in order to encourage its members to take part at the International Bakery, Confectionery and Related Industries Fair.
ASEMAC's Conferences for Reflection will also serve to identify the needs of the frozen bread and rolls sector in order to tackle a range of issues of greatest interest to members of the industry. Some of the questions that are likely to be addressed include the following: the structural changes that the sector has witnessed in recent years; legal loopholes and ways of combating them; and the need to enhance production processes and boost productivity, quality and safety, among other aspects.
