IFEMA normally carries out an intense programme of international buyers invited to its various salons. They come from the main markets of interest for their respective sectors. Developed in collaboration with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in 2011 this action plan represented the capture of 1143 guests, a 21% increase on 2010. This increase was particularly notable compared to the previous year, 2010, which witnessed growth of 6% in the number of guests.The total figure registered last year was 1266, if we include buyers from the programme shared by the FRUIT ATRACTION fair and the Foreign Trade Institute, ICEX.

PROPET creates an Area for specialist SHOPS
The Fair for Pet Professionals, PROPET 2012, will devote a special area – THE IDEAL WINDOW DISPLAY - for manufacturers and distributors of accessories for pets to show retailers how to set up the ideal display in a shop window, and help them sell more products. For this an area of Pavilion 9 at Feria de Madrid will be used from 9 to 11 March, the dates of PROPET, the leading professional fair in the sector.
This event, which was requested by professional visitors, is aimed at purchasers - specialist shops, large distribution centres and veterinary clinics with shops - who will have the opportunity to get practical advice on the best way to display and sell the products presented.

The event, organised by IFEMA, takes place from 2 to 4 February in Halls 12 and 14 of DC Area at Feria de Madrid.

A panel of judges has selected a total of 31 new, cutting-edge products. Eight of these represent the Fire Safety industry, 14 represent Workplace Safety (SICUR PROLABOR), and 9 are related to Security.
The upcoming SICUR event, organised by IFEMA, will take place from 28 February to March 2, at the FERIA DE MADRID. Following tradition, a selection of state-of-the-art equipment and solutions related to safety will be presented in its New Product Gallery.

• The Madrid catwalk will sport a new name at its fifty-fifth edition, following the recent agreement that the event has signed with the German vehicle make, in which the latter has become the main sponsor and acquires the naming rights for the event. In this sense, Fashion Week will now have two main sponsors, L'Oréal and Mercedes-Benz. In addition, Mahou Cinco Estrellas has now joined this edition as a sponsor.
• On this occasion, the fair has decided to bring its staging forward by two weeks. This change enables it to open the international fashion show circuit without coinciding with any other leading fashion event.
